Back to Plymouth for Whale Watching with Wendy who just got back from Germany. On the way to Plymouth we stopped at a UPS store and finally received the fax from the Escrow company. We got our documents signed and faxed back just in time to make the whale watching boat. We saw some Meinke whales, a very close up of a finback whale (The second largest species ever, with the Blue Whale being the largest). We saw a couple of groups of humpback whales and lots of pictures of them just at the surface and their fluking behavior. We had just turned to leave and start speeding up when one of the humpbacks behind us breached. I caught most of the awesome sight as did Wendy and the kids. Stacy unfortunately missed the whole thing, and nobody got a picture as our cameras were all put away. But we did see plenty of whales.
We went back to the Cabby Shack for dinner and then said our goodbyes to Wendy and drove back to the timeshare to pack and get ready to leave Saturday morning early to get into Boston. During our stay there was a tragic collapse of a couple of ceiling tiles in the “Big Dig” tunnels that killed a woman on her way to the airport, so we expected some bad traffic and left a bit earlier. We had no problem finding our way around with a GPS I purchased for my laptop before the trip and only had to correct for a left turn we couldn’t make at a no left turn location.
The flights both ways were easy enough, and with Jet Blue there was DirecTV at each seat so we had plenty to keep the kids occupied during the 6 hour flight.
Saturday and we’re home and unpacked and tired.
