The tree is up and decorations adorn the house. Christmas movies of all varieties play every day. One channel has “25 Days of Christmas” and many others are dusting off their Christmas Show archives. Seasonally scented candles burn to add the holiday fragrance. We even light the fireplace now and then. We anticipate the smells of the Christmas Day feast; Turkey baking in the oven and all the fixin’s, pumpkin pie and cookies.
I look forward to some time off of work and being able to sleep in a bit. Of course the kids make that a challenge and I know that Christmas Day we will be awakened to the kids whispering excitedly at 6:00 am as they creep downstairs to look at all the wrapped gifts.
The cameras are being charged and will be ready for a day of capturing moments. I’m taking my vitamins (hopefully accomplishing a similar effect Charging my Batteries).
Christmas shopping is all but done and has been for weeks now. There are still a few things we might pick up at lesiure. It is somewhat amusing to watch the faces of the harried shoppers as they fight through the crowds knowing that they aren’t nearly done. I watch this knowing that I am, done. It has increased our holiday cheer considerably and we will certainly enjoy much more of this holiday than holidays past.
For those of you who still haven’t completed your shopping, Gift Cards are not all that bad. We all know how hard it is to find something, even for someone close.
Merry Christmas, or Happy Holidays if you take offense :0
